About The Owner
Craig Buford has been involved with this operation since 1978. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Certificate from The Ranch Management Program. He worked on Fort Worth area ranches and then became an agricultural lender with what was then Blacklands Production Credit Association. He moved to a privately owned agricultural lending company, Agritex, Inc., and traveled extensively making large farm and ranch loans. Buford later worked for Bonham State Bank as their chief lending officer and then became President of the Bonham Branch of American Bank of Texas. In 2001, Craig joined the Independent Bankers Association of Texas in Austin, Texas.
Buford is now President and CEO of a banking trade organization, The Community Bankers Association of Oklahoma. He is an Auctioneer licensed by the State of Texas, and additionally offers consulting and management services to other ranching operations.
Throughout his banking career, Buford has been hands on in the management of his ranching operation as well as working with other ranches. For many years he managed a large cow-calf and stocker operation in Collin County that ran about 300 mother cows and 1000 stockers and fed some cattle in Texas Panhandle and Kansas feed yards.
Craig Buford is available on a consulting basis to assist ranching operations with management or strategic planning, marketing plans, or other ranching needs.
