Buford Ranch is located between Bonham and Ector in Fannin County, Texas. Owned by Craig Buford, this ranch develops top quality replacement heifers and pairs for sale. Most of these heifers are Brangus or Brangus Baldy and are purchased as yearlings from leading breeders.
These heifers are synchronized for breeding, artificially inseminated, and then turned in with clean up bulls for a very tight calving season. Low birth weight Angus bulls with excellent weaning and yearling weight EPDs are used. Gardiner and Bradley 3 bulls have been utilized.
These calves have been very small at birth but change over night into tremendously growthy calves. For the last two years, calves off these first-calf heifers have weaned in excess of 550 pounds.
Buford Ranch normally has bred heifers or young pairs for sale. They are also from time to time, a buyer for top quality Brangus or Brangus Baldy heifers that are weaned and pre-conditioned.
